Tollywood star Nagarjuna confirmed Tabu's participation in his 100th film, 'King100'. The duo, who share a long professional history, are reuniting after years. Nagarjuna emphasized their enduring bond and Tabu's eagerness to join the project. However, their roles in 'King100' will not involve romance, with other actresses playing the lead romantic parts.
Tollywood star Nagarjuna is currently working on his upcoming 100th film, which is tentatively named ‘King100’. Since last year in October 2025, buzz around the film has been about actress Tabu being a part of it. Recently, the ‘Coolie’ actor revealed that his ‘Ninne Pelladata’ co-star will join the project.

Nagarjuna opens up about his long bond with Tabu

As per a report by Deccan Chronicle, Nagarjuna recently talked about the bond that Tabu and he share. Having worked together in films during the late 90’s. He shared that they had known each other for a very long time. According to Nagarjuna, she was keen to join the film the moment she heard about his 100th project.“We go back a very long way. I’ve known her from the time she started. And when Tabu got to know I was doing my hundredth film, she wanted to be a part of it,” said Nagarunga.

No romance for Nagarjuna and Tabu in ‘King100’

Even though Nagarjuna and Tabu are coming together again, there will be no romance between them in ‘King100’. Nagarjuna will play the title role, while Tabu will appear in a very important character. The film will have two other actresses who will play the romantic leads. The project is being directed by Ra Karthik, known for ‘Nitham Oru Vaanam’.

Nagarjuna and Tabu last acted together in 1998’s ‘Aavida Maa Aavide’, which was inspired by the American film ‘My Favourite Wife’.
They have also worked together in ‘Sisindri’.

Nagarjuna wants to take his time with his milestone film

Nagarjuna has also mentioned that he is not in a hurry to release his 100th film. He wants it to be perfect. Sharing his thoughts, he said, “I don’t want to rush at all. Audiences tastes are changing rapidly. I want to make sure we are doing something special.”He also added, “Action sequences won’t be FX-driven this time. Audiences want to see action that feels real, not other-worldly. The days of the larger-than-life hero are over.”
