Harassed by neighbour, 60-year-old ends life

Kanpur: Fed up with harassment at the hands of her neighbor in Orai, a 60-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging on Saturday. Cops reached the spot and sent the body for autopsy. The complainant, Shyam Babu alleged that on August 26, his neighbor had barged into his house and misbehaved with his wife Shyambai. “We opposed and tried to stop him, but he came to our home again, the same night, while we were having dinner and threw away their food.He abused and also threatened to kill us.” Peeved over this action of the neighbor, Shyam Babu’s wife committed suicide by hanging herself, he told police. Police station incharge Arjun Singh said that the matter is being investigated to ascertain the exact cause that led the woman to take this extreme step.TNN
