Gaurav Int’l, Chintels School win inter-school archery championship

Kanpur: Gaurav International and the Chintels School won the boys and girls overall championships of the 11th inter-school CBSE north zone archery championship respectively held at DPS Kalyanpur School’s ground on Saturday.In the boys’ group, Allen House, Khalasi Line and DPS Unnao were adjudged as the runners up jointly. Deen Dayal Sanatan Dharma School got the third place. In the girls’ group, DPS Kalyanpur stood as runners up. Vinyas Public School got the third place in the group. As many as 327 archers from 36 schools took part in the event which was inaugurated by Rajat Aditya Dixit, chairman of UP Olympic Sports Committee and Archana Nigam, principal, DPS Kalyanpur. Shreyansh Kapoor gave away silver coins to the medal winners. Riya Yadav of Army Public School was adjudged as the best archer of the meet. According to Rajendra Singh Yadav, the gold medal winners are Shivang Narang, Ibara Khan, Natik Kushwaha, Divyanshu, Aastha Malviya, Deependra Rathore, Saumya Tiwari, Aditya Singh, Lakhya Pandey, Jayesh Gujar, Vaibhavi Bajpai, Sania Naqvi, Pranav Mishra, Kushagra Dixit, Swarnim Swarup, Harsh Khan, Abhishek Kushwaha and Utkarsh Verma. tnn
