Five UP women in U-19 cricket team

Kanpur: Five UP girls have been selected for the Under-19 women's cricket team, which will participate in a triangular series with South Africa. The competing teams are India A, India B, and South Africa. Sanjay Kapoor, chairman of the media committee of UPCA, said the triangular series will be contested at the Cricket Stadium Pune from Dec 3 to 12. Hemlata Kala has been appointed as batting coach of India A team. The five selected women cricketers are- Chandani Sharma (Lkw), Supriya Arela (Agra), Bharti Upadhyaya (Aligarh), Sonam Yadav (Firozabad) and Parshwi Chopra (Gautam Budh Nagar). The inaugural match between South Africa and India A teams will commence on Dec 3. tnn
