Doctor made video of victim on pretext of treatment

Kanpur: The statement of the victim, who was raped by the doctor of Lala Lajpat Rai hospital, was recorded before the magistrate on Wednesday.
It is alleged that the doctor had made her video on the pretext of treatment. After this, he started physically abusing her, threatening to make it viral on social media. He also threatened to kill her on protest.
Due to the threat and exploitation of the doctor, she went into depression.
In the year 2021, the doctor was transferred to another district.
Even after this, he often came to the city and continued to exploit her.
“Police have recorded a Section 164 (Magisterial) statement along with a medical examination. Evidence compilation has been done. Further action will be taken on the basis of statement and evidence,” said ACP Swaroop nagar Shiva Singh.
