KANPUR: The CPMT counselling again got delayed on the second day on Friday. About 75 per cent of the candidates encoded the colleges of their choice on the counselling session held at GSVM Medical College.
Around 150 candidates were left to encode the colleges on the first day of the session but as they could not do so. It further delayed the process on the second day.
The authorities of GSVM said that the counselling of remaining 150 candidates left out on Thursday got over by 2 pm. The counselling of candidates from 601 rank and above continued till 10.30 pm.
At the time of filing this report, students upto rank 1220 had encoded the colleges while 280 candidates were still left. Dr R P Sharma, co-ordinator of CPMT counselling at GSVM Medical College said that 20 per cent of the candidates were left to encode the colleges on Friday. The remaining will be attending the counselling on the third day which will be commencing from 10 am.
The delay on Thursday led to delay even in the registration process. At 9 pm on Friday, the students kept on getting themselves registered. Nearly 1000 students registered themselves for the counselling on the third day.
