Cooch Behar Trophy: UP enters semifinal

Kanpur: UP entered the semifinal of U-19 cricket tournament for Cooch Behar Trophy when they defeated Kerala on the basis of first innings lead in a draw quarter-final tie held at Krishnagiri stadium Wayanad on Monday. In the morning, UP wrapped up the first innings of Kerala on 402 runs. Overnight batsmen Vijay Vishwanath and Abhiram could add just one run in the overnight score 9 for 401. UP got a significant 50 runs lead in the first innings.UP’s second innings was just academic and their batsmen practised in match conditions. UP scored 5 for 250 in their second innings.
