Bobby Yadav picked one wicket.Captain Kishan Bedare was their highest scorer who scored 33 runs in 58 balls hitting four boundaries. He and Aneesh executed the best 52 run partnership for the third wicket. Purnank broke their partnership claiming Aneesh for 15. Shubhang Hegde offered some resistance and scored 17 runs and returned unbeaten. The Karnataka batsmen instead of sticking in the middle showed aggression against the balanced attack of UP that proved damaging for them. Wicket was good but the batsmen lost their patience. According to Mohd Amir, the rival batsmen in fact gave indication in the morning that they were going to chase the target by aggressive batting but that proved wrong for them and the batsmen threw their wickets. He stated that inclusion of Shiva Singh proved a wise step as he had grabbed a total 9 wickets in this match. Medium pacer Purnank too dropped accurate balls and did not give any liberty to the batsmen to score runs. In a bid to score runs they made the mistake and presented their wickets.Brief Score: UP first innings-290 and second innings- 355Karnataka first innings 156 and second innings 117 (Aneesh KV 15, Kishan S Bedare 33, Kruthik Krishna 10, Shubhan Hegde 17, Rohit Kumar AC 10, Purnank Tyagi 5 for 41, Shiva Singh 4 for 27, Bobby Yadav 1 for 11).
