Ajay Kapoor on Friday claimed that the chief minister had accepted his proposal of construction of one dozen roads in Kanpur South and had passed orders to release a sum of Rs 5.18 crores in this regard.
Kapoor, who represents Kidwainagar area, said that the state government would spend around Rs 11 crores on the construction of roads. The chief minister had also given his consent to run Jageshwar and Bhalla hospitals as district hospitals.
Both hospitals belong to Kanpur municipal corporation.
Jageshwar Hospital is situated at Govindnagar while Bhalla Hospital is in Baqarganj. After upgradation, two hospitals could serve 20 lakh residents of Kanpur south .
Kapoor stated that chief minister Akhilesh Yadav had accepted his proposals on Tuesday. He had also discussed the issue of Dadanagar flyover and chief minister had assured to release funds for four-lane bridge. Currently it was a two-lane bridge and there was too much pressure of traffic on it.
Public Works Department would construct the roads of Kanpur south.
Gravel market to be shifted: Grave market of Naubasta would be shifted to Bingwawan. This decision was taken by the Kanpur Development Authority on Thursday. KDA had offered land at the rate of Rs 13,000 per square metre but gravel traders were demanding to reduce the rates.
