KANPUR: The office of director of income tax, investigations, Kanpur range, Kunal Singh was searched by the sleuths of CBI on Monday in connection with an alleged graft case.
The CBI team, which carried out the searches at Singh's office located in Civil Lines near the collectorate compound in the afternoon, refused to talk to newspersons. "The case is under investigation and we will not be able to share details at this stage with the media," said a member of the team.

The documents and information collected during the check are being analysed for further action.
Kunal Singh, who was heading the probe and criminal investigation units of the I-T, along with his team had recently conducted search operations against officials of the Greater Noida Authority and private real estate players besides carrying out I-T raids in the state and in the national capital region.
The agency had seized certain documents in which the investigators claimed to have found several clues. This came a few hours after the agency arrested four senior Income Tax officials, including director of income tax, investigations, Kanpur range Kunal Singh and managing director of realty firm Eldeco from Noida. The four-member CBI team seized a number of documents from Singh's office and residence and returned to the state capital.
