Camp for disabled organised at Bal Bhawan
Kanpur: Kanpur District magistrate Kanpur Nagar Jitendra Pratap Singh organised a camp for disabled persons alongside ‘Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas' at Bal Bhawan in Phool Bagh here on Saturday.
The camp facilitated around 10 disabled people who received their disability certificates/UDID cards from the physicians of the Physically Challenged Board. Additionally, the Divyangjan empowerment department's team was present for registration under departmental schemes, while the revenue team assisted in generating immediate income certificates for Divyangjans.
The beneficiaries of physically challenged certificates included Pooja, Kripa Shankar Awasthi, Mukhtar Ahmad, Jagdamba Prasad, Rani Devi, Priya Devi and others.
During the Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas programme, 116 grievances were registered and 10 were resolved immediately. One attendee, Prem Kamal Uttam, raised concerns about his four-wheeler driving licence renewal application pending for the last two months despite several visits to the RTO. The DM's intervention proved efficacious as his licence was renewed within two hours. Widow pensions were sanctioned immediately to Rabia Begum, Kamla Devi, Malka and others.
