, advocate said that after six long years struggle of advocates, the state governor, on the recommendation of the state government, had issued a notification on June 14, 2019 which included the judicial control of the two tehsils from Kanpur Dehat to Kanpur Nagar district in public interest. He said the government has not executed the notification so far due to which both litigants and the advocates are facing problems.
After the Samiti had made several representations in this regard, the governor sent them to the additional chief secretary and principal chief secretary (law) for necessary action, Sharma further said.The Allahabad high court had sought a list of files of civil and criminal cases of Ghatampur and Bilhaur tehsils from Kanpur Dehat judiciary. The execution of notification would give relief to the litigants as well as the advocates, he added.
Ajit Shukla, former president of Kanpur Bar Association said the Sangharsh Samiti’s nine years old struggle is in its last phase. He said the governor should order to send the files to Kanpur Nagar district.
Earlier, the members of the Samiti had handed over their memorandum to the additional city magistrate-II Kanpur Nagar who assured to send the same to the governor without any delay.
