Agri minister visits CSA University

Kanpur: State minister of Agriculture, Agricultural Education and Research, Surya Pratap Shahi, on Thursday visited Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology.

During the visit, the minister reviewed the academic progress of the university and its ongoing research and extension work.

He said fresh recruitment at the university should be undertaken in line with the rules.

Shahi also said that, along with summer ploughing across all university fields, planning should be completed for sowing green manure to achieve 100% coverage in Kharif.

The minister said steps should be taken to increase income from the university’s fields, and the area under pulses and oilseeds should be expanded.

He also directed scientists and officers to participate in the Khet Bachao Abhiyan programmes being run in the state so that farmers receive maximum benefit.
