Kanpur: Two brothers reportedly died of snake bite in Banda’s Baberu police area late on Wednesday night. The deceased were identified as
Ankit Yadav (10) and Rohit Yadav (7), sons of Jankisharan of Museeva village.
They both were sleeping when the snake bit them and their mother. However, the family members thought only she was bitten and took her for treatment.
When the mother returned in the morning after treatment, she found both her sons frothing and raised an alarm. Both the boys were rushed to a CHC from where they were referred to the district hospital. However, they were taken to a local quack, where they died.
CO Baberu Rakesh Singh said, “Both the children were bitten by snakes. Also, it came to the fore that even after being referred to district hospital, the family took them to a quack that led to the death of the victims.” tnn
