Dy jailer of Jodhpur jail, 2 guards suspended after phones found
Jodhpur: A deputy jailer and two jail guards of the Jodhpur Central Jail were suspended after mobile phones and chargers were found hidden in jail during sudden inspection by the police. Jail administration has also initiated inquiry against them for dereliction of their respective duties.
Jail Superintendent Rajpal Singh said that appropriate action will be taken based on the outcome of the inquiry.

On the other hand police have also filed an FIR against unidentified prisoners and have seized the mobile phones and accessories.
SHO (Ratanada) Naresh Kumar Meena said that upon receiving information about the presence of mobile phones and other prohibited items among the inmates in the jail, a police team was formed and a sudden search was conducted in the jail on Thursday night.
“The team conducted an extensive search across the cells and barracks along with the toilets and belongings of the inmates in the jail, which lasted till late night,” he said, adding that 4 mobile phones and a charger were recovered from different places. Meena said that all the phones have been recovered, which include one smartphone and three basic keypad phones. TNN
