The Jammu and Kashmir government today sought intervention of Union minister for chemicals and fertilizers Ananth Kumar to address the shortage of fertilisers in the valley.

JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir government today sought intervention of Union minister for chemicals and fertilizers Ananth Kumar to address the shortage of fertilisers in the valley.
In his communication to the Union minister, state Horticulture Minister Syed Basharat Bukhari urged upon for early action on the issue of allowing fertiliser companies to transport the soil nutrient from Jammu and Udhampur rack point to the Kashmir besides Railway Out Agency (ROA) to facilitate the farmers with adequate and timely supply.
