Woman accuses visitor of rape, slashes his genitals
Jaipur: A 33-year-old woman allegedly severed a man’s private parts and injured his neck with a blade after accusing him of raping her inside her house in Jaipur Saturday evening. The blood-soaked man was found lying inside the house and was rushed to SMS Hospital, where he remains under treatment.
According to the woman’s complaint, the man came to her house and allegedly took advantage of finding her alone. She told police that he forcibly sexually assaulted her, following which she grabbed a blade and attacked him while resisting the alleged assault.
The incident came to light after the woman contacted the police control room and reported the alleged rape. A police team rushed to the house and found the man seriously injured. He had sustained deep blade wounds to his private parts and neck and was immediately shifted to SMS Hospital for treatment.
During the preliminary investigation, police found that the man had come to meet the woman at her residence on Saturday evening. Investigators are now trying to establish what transpired inside the house before the violent confrontation. Police are examining the relationship between the two, their communication records and other evidence to verify the claims made by both sides.
Police also revealed that the injured man had got married only a month ago. While undergoing treatment at the hospital, he lodged a counter-complaint alleging that the woman had attempted to kill him. He denied the rape allegation and accused the woman of attacking him with the intention of causing fatal injuries.
Based on the complaints lodged by both parties, police registered separate FIRs for rape and attempted murder. Officers said statements of the woman, the injured man and other relevant witnesses are being recorded. Medical reports and forensic evidence will play a crucial role in determining the sequence of events.
Police said no arrests had been made so far and further action would be taken based on the outcome of the investigation.
