JAISALMER: During the hearing on the tampering of houses and monuments in Kuldhara in Jaisalmer, with the Jodhpur High Court bench of justice Sangeet Lodha and justice
Dinesh Mehta on Friday, advocate general of the state government M S Singhvi assured the court that the state government will not start any kind of commercial activities at Kuldhara and will remove the tent canopy and other encroachments.
The next hearing will be on March 27.
Singhvi told the court that in Kuldhara, an administrative block has been constructed. All efforts are being made to protect the monument. Boundary wall has been made and shrubs have been removed. But court took serious note of tampering with structures at Kuldhara and said that no commercial activities should take place there.
Court stated that an open area should be decided in Kuldhara like in Sanchita and Vidisha, where there is no permission for any construction.
Singhvi requested the court that the administrative block and cafeteria have been made and instead of removing them, the canopy will be removed and a submission from the government's side was given that whatever illegal construction has taken place, it will try to remove as much as possible and time has been asked for the same.
