The union minister said that efforts are being made with full capacity to prevent the spread of this virus-borne disease. He said that the animals which have become infected should be separated from healthy animals and vaccination of healthy animals should be done as soon as possible. Dedicated isolation centres should also be set up to prevent infection and it is easy to provide medical and care. He said that the goat pox vaccine is completely effective to prevent this disease. A dose of 3 ml to cows in the most affected area and 1 ml to animals in the least affected and unaffected area would be sufficient.
Rupala assured to give priority funding along with ensuring the availability of vaccines and medicines. He said that the state government should start using SDRF with immediate effect and where permission is required from the central government, the proposal should be sent soon.

A campaign has been initiated to maintain cleanliness and manage gaushalas. Disposal of dead animals will also be done scientifically. He said, public representatives, voluntary organizations, Bhamashah and common people are also coming forward and giving full cooperation.
