Tonk police bust betting racket during India match

Bhilwara: District special team (DST) of Tonk police along with Niwai station police busted an online betting ring involving crores of rupees during the India vs South Africa T20 World Cup match Sunday night in Bhagat Singh Colony. Police seized bank accounts containing Rs 1 crore 44 lakh, nine mobile phones, one walkie-talkie, one laptop, Rs 1.5 lakh in cash, one LED TV, and arrested one person, Tonk SP Rajesh Kumar Meena said.Meena said police had registered a case against two accused at Niwai police station and started an investigation. He said that Lokesh, 32, resident of Patel Road in Niwai police station area, was arrested from the spot and was being interrogated about the betting racket.
