JAIPUR: The scuffle over parking in which six persons were injured in Hasanpura turned ugly on Monday after one person who was thrashed along with five others in Hasanpura succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
The news of Jeetendra Singh's (38) death spread like fire and it triggered communal tension in the Hasanpura locality. Nearly 500 people, including workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) gathered in the locality and shouted anti-police slogans.

The family members of the deceased joined them and demanded immediate arrest of the seven accused, responsible for Singh's murder.
Later, they were dispersed by the police with an assurance that the accused would be arrested soon.
When MLA Civil Lines Pratap Singh Khachariawas arrived on the spot to take stock of the situation he faced ire of the residents. Additional forces were deployed in the area to maintain law and order.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), talking about the situation in the area, said, "Initially it was tense as Singh's family was not willing to perform the last rites. But later they agreed. Situation was brought under control by the evening."
"We have arrested Mukhtiaar Ali (42), Firoz Khan (20), Mohammed Sharif (28) and Iqbaal (22) on charges of murder for allegedly attacking Singh's family with sharp-edged weapons," he added.
On Monday, Gajendra Singh Chauhan was on his way to meet his friend when three youths of a community hit his motorbike with their bike. Chauhan had a spat with them which later turned into a scuffle. He called his relatives for help who were also bashed up by the youths. The injured included Jeetendra Singh.
