SOG cracks two major job scams, arrests JVVNL staffer, teacher
Jaipur: The Special Operations Group (SOG) has cracked two major recruitment fraud cases in Rajasthan and arrested two persons, officials said Wednesday.
The accused allegedly secured govt jobs using forged documents. In separate actions, SOG Wednesday arrested a JVVNL employee accused of obtaining an appointment through a fake disability certificate and a govt teacher who allegedly became a Physical Training Instructor (PTI) using a forged backdated BPEd degree.
According to SOG ADG Vishal Bansal, the first accused, Sandeep Saini, a resident of Mamraj Ki Dhani of Jhunjhunu and presently living in Sanganer, Jaipur, was working as a technical helper in JVVNL. “Investigation revealed that he secured the job using a fake disability certificate showing him suffering from hemiparesis (partial paralysis), allegedly issued by BDK Hospital, Jhunjhunu,” said Bansal.
During medical verification at SMS Hospital, Jaipur, Sandeep feared the fraud would be exposed. “To avoid detection, he allegedly offered a hefty amount of money to a friend and sent him in his place for medical examination. The impersonation triggered suspicion and eventually exposed the racket,” he added.
SOG said the accused was absconding for nearly two months before being arrested. Officials are now probing the role of middlemen and medical staff in facilitating fake disability certificates.
In another case linked to Physical Teacher Recruitment-2022, SOG arrested Rajesh Kumar Fagna (39), a resident of Kotputli, for allegedly securing an appointment as a PTI through a forged, backdated BPEd degree. Investigators found that Rajesh did not possess the mandatory qualification while applying for the recruitment exam. After selection, he allegedly contacted brokers Pawan Singh Chauhan and Pankaj Jain, who arranged a fake degree for the 2017-19 session from JS University, Shikohabad, Uttar Pradesh, in exchange for a hefty payment.
