JAISALMER: Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Sunday lashed

at the Congress government in the state. He was addressing a public rally at Jailsamer’s Ramdeora. He said, “Aurangzeb had inflicted atrocities on those who did not convert. In the five years of Congress regime they probably will not be able to inflict as many atrocities. However, you need not worry. I am here with you.” He said the state government is working with political enmity and warned the Congress government against ‘policies of suppression’. “Rajasthan is fast becoming a crime capital and the lawmakers are busy fighting among themselves. Works for public welfare are not taking place,” he alleged.


Both Shekhawat and Union minister of state Arjun Ram Meghwal, in separate visits, had gone to the Ramdeora Temple on Sunday. Shekhawat while addressing the rally said that he had not forgotten what he had to face during the recent

elections. The minister for the newly constituted jal shakti ministry was pitched again CM Ashok Gehlot’s son Vaibhav Gehlot in Jodhpur.

“Gehlot and the entire administration was working to ensure that Vaibhav wins the elections. However, voters did not vote for him. I do not want to narrate the ordeal but it is something that I will never forget,” he added. Speaking to mediapersons later, Shekhawat voiced his anger as the district administration officers including district collector did not pay him a visit as per the protocol.

Meanwhile, Union minister of state Kailash Choudhary who was in Barmer said that Congress government in the state will not be able to complete five years as there is are differences between CM and deputy chief minister Pilot.
