Senior Women’s One-Day Trophy: Andhra edge out Rajasthan by 4 wickets in a thriller

Jaipur: Andhra edged past Rajasthan by four wickets in a thriller to storm into the semifinal of the Senior Women's One-Day Trophy in Ropar, Punjab on Monday.In an exciting low-scoring quarters, Rajasthan were pipped at the post by Andhra in the last over.Put into bat, Rajasthan were all out for 165 in 50 overs. Opener Ayushi Garg (38), Sangita Kumawat (31), Suman Meena (23) and Tanuja Vaishnav (20) all had starts but could not convert into big scores.Chasing a modest target, Andhra also struggled initially and were 73 for 5 at one stage. However, Henrietta Pereira (51) and E Padmaja (47 not out) stitched together a 78-run stand for the sixth wicket to seal the fate of Rajasthan.
