Rajasthan University likely to extend the last date of admissions
JAIPUR: Rajasthan University is likely to extend the last date of admission process as RBSE is yet to release the marksheet of Class XII Arts students. The last date of
“It is a big challenge this time as students were not aware that the arts students from RBSE can upload the internet marksheet for online registration which will be verified later when the original marksheet comes,” said Rashmi Jain, vice principal of Maharani College.
The registration date is likely to be extended this time for another reason also. The first cut-off list is due on June 16, but since it’s a holiday due to Eid-ul-Fitr, the list is expected to come out on June 18, 2018.
Students with scores around distinction are hoping the RU to increase the seats by 10%. From the past few years, RU has been increasing the number of seats to accommodate more students.
“Last year, the seats were increased by 10% in some of the courses as the cut-off went too high. The chances of increasing the number of seats this year will be decided after the declaration of 2nd cut-off list,” Jain added.
Students are complaining of slow server speed forcing them to re-start the process several times. The last-minute rush is slowing down the server, explained RU officials who said that students were repeatedly advised to not wait for the eleventh hour and submit the form as and when they are done.
