RU admission for UG courses to begin today
Jaipur: The admission process for 2026-27 academic session for the constituent colleges of Rajasthan University (RU) will start Thursday. Students can fill forms till June 14, said officials Wednesday.
Ram Avtar Sharma, convener of the Central Admission Committee, announced that the new merit-based admission process is being introduced for the courses offered at University’s four constituent colleges — specifically the three/four-year programmes under the semester scheme. These courses include BA, BCom, BSc, BCA, BBA and the undergraduate courses within the faculty of fine arts (BPA/BVA), as well as BTech and MTech programmes.
The university administration has also advised students to provide a correct email ID within the form, as all information related to the application will be communicated to that specific email address.
“It is mandatory for students to fill out a separate application form for each individual course they wish to apply for. Therefore, students are advised to exercise caution and care while filling out the forms,” Sharma said.
This year, students are not required to submit a hard copy of the filled-in application form as the process will be completely online.
RTU announces ‘mercy chance’
Jaipur: The Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) Monday announced that students of specific batches and courses from 2006 till 2020 will get an ‘additional mercy chance’ to complete their degrees. Officials said that the objective of this initiative is to strengthen the academic future of these students and to reintegrate them into the mainstream of higher and technical education. According to the university, students enrolled in BTech programmes from 2006 to 2016, BTech (LEAP) from 2007 to 2017, BHMC&T from 2006 to 2016, BArch from 2006 to 2014, BBA from 2013 to 2018, and in MCA, MBA, MTech and MArch programmes from 2006 to 2020 will benefit from this special opportunity. The form filling for the mercy examination will be starting online from June 5, with the examinations to be conducted as per schedule notified by RTU on June 1.
