Rs 240cr approved for Sanganer elevated road

Jaipur: Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has approved Rs 240 crore for an elevated road project to reduce traffic congestion in Sanganer. The decision was taken by JDA's executive committee at a meeting Thursday.Officials said the project was announced in the 2024–25 state budget to address daily traffic jams in Sanganer area. A traffic survey showed heavy congestion on the stretch through the Sanganer flyover, Chordia petrol pump, Malpura Gate, and Kalyanpura ROB, they said.
As per the plan, a 4-lane elevated road will be built from the Sanganer flyover to near the Kalyanpura ROB, while a 2-lane elevated road will connect Chordia petrol pump to near Diggi Malpura Gate.JDA also approved a sewerage strengthening project for the area. A 40 MLD sewage treatment plant based on SBR technology will be set up near Bambala, officials said.
