Rajasthan’s promising teenagers Kushagra Ojha and Rajat Baghel have been selected in the India’s Under-19 squad for the tour of Sri Lanka, starting July 4.
The BCCI’s junior cricket committee picked the India men’s U-19 squads for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka, comprising three one-day matches and two multi-day games. Yashbardhan Singh Chauhan will lead the one-day and multi-day teams and Lakshya Raichandani will be his deputy in both squads.
Kushagra is a middle-order batter, while Rajat is a wicketkeeper-batter. Both Kushagra and Rajat have done well for Rajasthan in the junior national circuit last season.
RCA Ad Hoc Committee convenor Dr Mohit Jaswant Yadav, members Ashish Tiwari, Dhananjai Singh Khimsar, Sushil Jain and Arisht Singhvi congratulated Rajasthan’s young U-19 players Kushagra Ojha and Rajat Baghel on their selection in the Indian junior squad for the Sri Lanka tour and said that just like Manav Suthar of the state has brought laurels to himself and the state in the country and abroad by performing brilliantly in the Test match against Afghanistan after being selected in the Indian Test side, similarly both the U-19 players of the state will also showcase their talent by performing brilliantly for the national junior team.
