Rajasthan: Rape victim’s family seeks CBI probe

JAIPUR: The Rajasthan high court issued notice to the state government and CBI in the rape case of a 15-year-old minor girl in

Dholpur district

over the demand for a

CBI probe

.


The family of the victim alleged that on July 8, 2018, their daughter was drugged, gang raped and murdered two days later by Ayan Khan and his friends. Ayan Khan, is the son of deputy chairman of the

municipal council

, Ayub Khan.

They have alleged that due to political pressure the post mortem of victim was not taken in to account . Two days after the incident, police registered the FIR and after seven days arrested the accused. The family alleged that they were threatened by the police several times to take back their complaint against the accused.

Hence, the family of the victim is demanding CBI inquiry of the case fearing, that due to political pressure state police would not be able to conduct a proper investigation in to the case.
