JAIPUR: In Rajasthan, the BJP is making significant strides with its candidates securing victory in two constituencies and leading in 111, while the Congress is ahead in 72, according to Election Commission trends for the assembly polls.

The BJP candidates Samaram won in the Pindwara Abu assembly constituency, and Govind Prasad secured victory in Manohar Thana.

The Bharat Adivasi Party (BAP) candidate Rajkumar Roat won in the Chorasi assembly constituency, with the party also leading in two seats.

The BSP and Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLTP) were leading in two seats each, and independent candidates were ahead in nine constituencies. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Sachin Pilot, and other Congress candidates are leading, while Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat remarked that people have come out of the "magician's" spell, referring to Gehlot's background in a family of magicians.

The BJP rebels Yoonus Khan and Ravindra Singh Bhati, among the independent candidates, are leading in initial trends. The counting of votes in the November 25 assembly elections began at 8 am with 36 counting centers set up for 199 constituencies. The BJP is optimistic about forming the government, and Shekhawat asserted that they will secure a significant mandate.
