Jaipur: Tenders for various drinking water projects worth more than Rs 32 crore were approved in the meeting of the financial committee of Rajasthan Water Supply and Sewerage Management Board (RWSSMB) chaired by additional chief secretary of public health and engineering department (PHED) Subodh Agrawal on Thursday.
In the meeting, the tender for

Jal Jeevan Mission

works in 14 villages of

Jaisalmer

district, Rs 14.12 crore was approved. Tenders were approved for works of 15 drinking water schemes worth Rs 14.44 crore under Jal Jeevan Mission in

Dholpur

block.
Under Jal Jeevan Mission in various villages of Lunkaransar area of Bikaner district, tender for works related to rural drinking water schemes worth Rs 8.08 crore and drinking water schemes worth Rs 6.19 crore in Nadbai tehsil of Bharatpur was approved. Under this, there will be pipeline, pump house construction and other works for every household tap connection.
The financial committee gave administrative and financial approval for a drinking water project worth Rs 3.88 crore for drinking water system in Govardhanpuri of Jaipur city. Under this, works like laying of pipeline, construction of clean reservoir and pump house will be done.
Along with this, administrative and financial approval was given for a plan of Rs 2.43 crore to replace the old cement pipeline of 1,600 metre long cement pipeline from

Transport Nagar

to Galta Gate.
At the meeting, financial approval was given of Rs 25.25 lakh for drinking water transport in Khairwara town of Udaipur district, Rs 20 lakh for drinking water transport in Nagaur town, Rs 10.50 lakh for transporting water in Bundi town and Rs 13.88 lakh for transporting water in Pilani town of Jhunjhunu district.
