JAIPUR: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is investigating RPSC senior teacher paper leak mastermind Suresh Dhaka, even as he is being simultaneously sought by the Rajasthan police for nearly five months now, raising questions about his methods and potential access to influential networks.
Dhaka is believed to be one of the key players in the paper leak case, being among the first in the chain of suspects for leaking questions to students that led to cancellation of the exam.

For nearly five months now, Dhaka has remained elusive for cops. He went into hiding from Jaipur as soon as cops in Udaipur exposed the paper leak case on December 24 last year. No one knows who tipped off Dhaka. Police, though, succeeded in arresting Dhaka’s partner in crime, Bhupendra Saran, and another associate, Anil Kumar Meena.
Meena had taken the questions from RPSC member Babu Lal Katara, according to police. While Katara has already been nabbed, Dhaka continues to evade arrest. A reward of Rs 1 lakh was also announced for information leading to Dhaka’s arrest earlier this year.
A native of a small village in Jalore district, Dhaka made his way to Jaipur, where he set up a coaching institute and promised guaranteed success to students. The same institute was demolished by the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) in the aftermath of the paper leak for violating building norms.
Within the state police, there are many who are equally intrigued about Dhaka’s ability to remain a step ahead of the cops. “It is surprising for any high-profile suspect like Dhaka to remain on the run for a long time even when there is a hefty reward on his information,” said an officer.
As per sources, ED officials on Monday also visited Dhaka’s locations in Jalore and Jaipur. Sources claimed that the agency has discovered some incrementing evidence against the absconder.
