We got in touch with the owner and told him that we needed access to the footage. After he gave permission, we broke into the house. The footage gave us the strongest evidence.
It showed that when Saurabh entered Rohit’s flat, his face was semi-covered but when he was leaving it with the baby’s body, the hired killer’s face was clearly visible.”
According to the original murder plan, Chaudhary was supposed to bury the child’s body in some secluded location where it could never be found but in a moment of panic, he dumped it over the boundary wall of the residential complex. He was planned on coming back later to dispose of the body but by that time heavy police presence was already in the area, claimed cops.
The case was a challenge to solve as there were no leads and the prime suspect, Rohit Tiwari was well prepared for interrogation as he had predicted his own arrest. ‘Cool and composed’, Tiwari was a tough nut to crack in the murder investigation, who neither shed a tear or even asked to go for his wife and son’s funeral, said cops.

“In the three days since the murder of his wife and son, Rohit has not shed a single tear. We would have allowed him to go for their funeral also but he never sought permission. During the interrogation also he was absolutely composed”, said the official.
Police officials said that Rohit, who is a chemical engineer, was highly intelligent and even expected that he will be arrested after his wife’s body was found.
Jaipur commissioner of police Anand Shrivastav added that he had planned the crime to such an extent that he expected to be arrested and had prepared the answers accordingly.
Police officials lamented that the accused chose this path instead of legal separation with his wife to avoid giving alimony and also he wanted to get rid of her at the earliest.
