JAIPUR: Sixty pregnant women along with their husbands walked the ramp creating awareness on

maternal

health in an event jointly organised by

Surya Hospitals

and

Jaipur Times

in a city hotel on Sunday.


In the event ‘Bump walk— a walk towards motherhood’, the expecting mothers flaunted their

baby bumps in style

on the ramp. The mothers-to-be dressed in beautiful attires mesmerised the audience with their walk. The occasion aimed to create awareness on pregnancy and myths related to it. Major general (retired) Anuj Mathur was the chief guest while former Mrs India International Deepti Chaudhary Saini was the special guest. The women, who walked the ramp, were in last trimester of pregnancy. They walked on the ramp with confidence and grace. Health experts were also present at the event. They took questions related to the diet beneficial during the pregnancy and what should be avoided. A lot of myths associated with the pregnancy were also taken up in the event. Dr Sunita Shishodia and Dr Anju Taly talked about the myths related to pregnancy.

Dr Jaya Sharma explained myths about the diet and Dr Mandakini Sharma talked about the exercises in pregnancy. A meditation session with soft music, entertainment through games and quizzes with exciting offers were also organised.
