Manav, Mukul, Parve win Mathuradas Mathur Award

Jaipur: Rajasthan left-arm spinner Manav Suthar, wicketkeeper batter Mukul Choudhary and Parve Jhalani were declared winners of the 29th Mathuradas Mathur Awards in the senior, junior and sub-junior category respectively here on Saturday. Left-arm seamer Aniket Choudhary was adjudged the Best Cricketer of the Decade. The selection committee headed by former Ranji player Ved Ahuja chose the winners on the basis of their performance during the last domestic season. Other members of the selection committee were former captain Sanjay Vyas, Sharad Joshi, Vijender Yadav, Rohit Jhalani and Gaurav Sharma.
Manav was consistent in all the domestic tournaments, but his best performance was in the Ranji Trophy 2022-23 where he took 39 wickets in six games. Mukul made his presence felt in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy and CK Nayudu Trophy, but it was Cooch Behar Trophy where he excelled the most with 750 runs in 7 matches. On the other hand, Parve scored 165 runs and took 12 wickets in five games in the Vijay Merchant Trophy. tnn
