IkiHikari distributes 12 sports wheelchairs and two transfer lift chairs to Rajasthan disabled cricket team

Jaipur: On the sidelines of the fifth and final encounter of the Mixed Disability T20I Cricket Series between India and England at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium here last Friday, another significant event caught the attention of the small crowd that gathered to witness the match.A wheelchair cricket team of Rajasthan was presented with sports wheelchairs by the IkiHikari organisation here on February 6. The Rajasthan wheelchair team members belonged to different parts of the state including Jaisalmer, Alwar, Sikar and Jodhpur.
"As a first step, we are supporting para-athletes by helping with mobility equipment that enables independence in both everyday life and sport. For this phase, I am happy we have completed our goal," said Manasvini Bengani, owner of the IkiHikari.In their maiden venture, they distributed 12 sports wheelchairs and two transfer lift chairs (a person can be transferred to a car also).Giving details about her organisation, Manasvini Bengani said, "IkiHikari comes from Japanese words meaning life and light. The idea is simple — life already carries its own strength, and sometimes all it needs is the right support to move forward with dignity and independence.""I was brought up in Japan, where quiet compassion, respect, and purpose are deeply valued. That stayed with me. Over time, I felt a strong pull to do something practical — not charity, not fixing people — but walking beside individuals and enabling life in real, meaningful ways."Although it was their first event, Manasvini promised they would do such noble work regularly in the future too."This initiative started when I saw how access to the right mobility equipment could change everyday life for para-athletes and individuals with disabilities. Why do you have to take help every single time? A wheelchair or assistive tool isn't just equipment — it's freedom, confidence, and participation. IkiHikari is my way of responding thoughtfully to real needs, one step at a time, with transparency and respect," signed off Manasvini.
