Jaipur: City police Wednesday arrested a history-sheeter and his associate, both carrying rewards of Rs 10,000, in a case of firing on Jan 19 in which a youth was shot in the leg in Gangapol in Brahmpuri police station area. The two absconded for over two weeks, police said.
The accused were identified as Ravi Mehra (25), a Gangapol resident, ,and his associate, Rahul. Mehra has 15 cases registered against him at Brahmpuri police station and 11 at Subhash Chowk police station, for serious offences, police said.

DCP (north) Karan Sharma said police traced their location and cordoned off the area late at night, following which the duo attempted to flee. "During the escape bid, Mehra sustained a fracture in his leg, while Rahul was also injured. Both were taken into custody and admitted to hospital," Sharma said.
