Rana who likes to refer to himself as 'Jihadiyon ka baap' has been living updates of police activities in Rajsamand in connection to Shambulal's case. On Tuesday, he asked his supporters not to deposit money in the account of Shambulal's wife's account as the police documents.

To crack down on hate speeches and messages in support of the killer going around the social media, Rajsamand police has also issued an advisory warning legal consequences for those who attempt to breach law and order situation.
“We don’t have any information of any person or group holding rally, road show or meeting in Rajsamand, neither will we permit anything that may disturb the harmony in the area. Presently, the situation is completely under control and police have put the social media under surveillance. Provocative messages are being scanned and anti-social elements are being screened,” Rajsamand collector P C Berwal told TOI.
