Girl set on fire by 'lover'

JAIPUR: A girl was set on fire by a boy and his three friends after she refused to elope with him at Maliyon Ki Dhani village in Ajmer district.
The incident took place on Wednesday night when the boy, identified as Arjun Sharma, barged into the house of the girl situated in the vil-lage along with his three friends. "He proposed to the girl and asked her to elope with him.The girl however refused her parents had fixed her marriage." "The boy lost his temper and poured kerosene on the girl and later set her on fire," said a police officer.
Soonafter the four accused fled from the scene. She was taken to government hospital by her parents.
"The girl had sustained 80% burns and is undergoing treatment," said circle officer, Kishangarh, Pawan Jain.
They have registered an attempt to murder case against four persons including main accused Arjun Sharma.
"One of the accused, identified as Shiv, has already been arrested by the police," said, Vipin Pandey, superintendent of police, Ajmer.
