First national youth fest of Ayurveda to be held in September
JAIPUR: The first national youth festival of Ayurveda will be held in Jaipur from September 14-16. It will be held under the joint auspices of the National Institute of Ayurveda Jaipur and National Ayurveda and Youth Association, an affiliate of Vigyan Bharati. According to the organizers about 3,000 youth are expected to participate in the event.
At a meeting held at the National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA) Jaipur on Sunday by the reception committee of the event, Jaipur MP Ramcharan Bohra said it is essential for the youth to be associated with the event to give a modern outlook to Ayurveda in the present age.

He said the natio nal level event would go a long way in propagating the health benefits to this system of medicine among the youth.
“This event will help the common people to be aware of the health benefits of the ancient system of medicine in the country. Such event will bring Ayurveda to the mainstream,“ said MLA Surendra Pareek.
Secretary general of Vigyan Bharati, A Jaya Kumar said national youth festival of Ayurveda is organized to give an encouragement to the students of Ayurveda. He said it will not only give the students an opportunity to show their talents but also propagate the health benefits of the ancient system of indigenous medicine.
NIA Jaipur director Prof Sanjiv Verma said the event includes quiz competition.Natraj dance competition, video documentary and photography completion etc. They are also planning to organise a `Nasya karma' and Ayuvedia fashion show also part of the festival.
