Farmers stage dharna over locust attacks

Jaisalmer: BJP and Kisan Jagriti Manch staged a day-long dharna outside the collectorate over the government’s alleged apathy towards containing locust attacks and damage to crops. They alleged that locust teams of governments have totally failed in controlling the insects.For the last six months, locust teams are camping in Jaisalmer and just doing the formalities. There was apprehension of Ravi crops getting damaged, but the department did not show any activeness. Former MLA Sang Singh Bhati said the state government was playing politics over locust control. tnn
