AJMER: The family and relatives of gangster

on Sunday refused to take his body at Parbatsar town of Nagaur district and demanded a
CBI probe
into the encounter.
After conducting the post-mortem of Anandpal, his body was sent to the government hospital in Parbatsar. But family member refused to take the body and sat on dharna. The gangster had received six bullets on his body in the encounter.
Family members accused the police of killing him deliberately as he knew many secrets. “He was ready to surrender and had informed the police about it,” said a relative in Ladunu.
Sources said that after the news of the encounter reached Sarvada village, the situation became tense in Parbatsar as people came out in protest.
In Ladunu and Parbatsar, villagers blocked the highway and pelted stones at the police. In Ladunu, angry protesters threw stones, injuring five policemen.
Police had to use force to disperse the mob and bring the situation under control. Heavy police force has been deployed in the area and inspector general of police, Ajmer range, Malini Agarwal is monitoring the situation.
Some 55 people have been arrested for disturbing peace in the region and police have begun air surveillance in Nagaur.
“Officials are camping in the Ladunu block to take action in case of any disturbance,” said IG Malini Agarwal. She added that, since morning, some 55 people were arrested for trying to block the highway.
Meanwhile, sources said that a team of intelligence and police personnel have been deployed in civil clothes in Sarvada village to gather information on any form of retaliation by gang members.
Anandpal, who was killed in an encounter on Saturday night in
Churu
, had escaped from police custody on September 3, 2015 and was in hiding.
