Rajasthan: Earthquake in Sikar; tremors felt in nearby areas

JAIPUR: An earthquake of magnitude 3.8 on the Richter scale hit

Sikar

at the the northwest area of Jaipur in the state at 8.01 am on Friday. Tremors were also felt in Fatehpur,

Jhunjhunu

and nearby areas, according to a report by

National Centre

for seismology.

People in Sikar and nearby areas after witnessing earthquake came out of their house in panic. Many called up their relatives to know their well-being.

According to the police and local administration no loss of life was reported in the earthquake.
