JAIPUR: Three persons including two students beat up a 43-year-old to death late on Saturday night when a fight took place between them near Agrasen Hospital in Vidhyadhar Nagar police station. They were under the influence of alcohol. The police arrested the trio including a teenager on Sunday. According to the police, the accused identified as Umashankar Sharma (40), Manish Kumar Jat (24) and Abhishek (18), all residents of Vidhyadhar Nagar, were drinking along with the deceased Ashok Sharma near Agrasen Hospital at about 10.30 pm.
"They picked up a fight over something while they were drunk and Umashankar, Manish and Abhishek started beating Ashok severely. Ashok fell unconscious after which the trio rushed him to Agrasen Hospital where while getting primary treatment, Ashok died," said Ashok Naruka, SP (north). Then, the trio called the family members of the deceased and told them that Ashok had fallen from his scooter due to which he sustained injuries. Ashok's wife got suspicious and lodged an FIR with Vidhyadhar Nagar police after which the accused were arrested.
"Ashok was a property dealer, while Umashankar worked as an architect. Manish and Abhishek were private students. The four used to drink together," said Gyanendra Rathore, incharge of Vidhyadhar Nagar police station. Beware of SMS promising you sex worker JAIPUR: Be cautious if you receive an SMS promising to provide you with a sex worker. A number of people in the city are receiving such SMSes. In a similar case, Rajesh Khandelwal, a resident of Vidhyadhar Nagar, approached the police complaining that he received an SMS in which it was promised that he could get a call girl. He was asked to call back on the same number. "We interrogated the matter and arrested one Deep Prakash (27), a resident of Murlipura. Deep Prakash worked as an executive with a finance company," said SP (north) Ashok Naruka. As Deep Prakash had access to ID proofs as an executive, he allegedly used to get mobile SIM cards issued on fake ID proofs and use them to send SMSes to people saying that he could provide sex workers. The police arrested four more persons Mukesh Kumar, Rajkumar, Kamlesh Yadav and Amresh Pal who used to help Deep Prakash. "The four persons used to bring sex workers from West Bengal and supply them here," said police. The police arrested all of them along with a sex worker.
