JAIPUR: A case has been registered against director-producer K C Bokadia at Jyoti Nagar police station for depicting assembly building without permission in his film 'Dirty Politics'.
Interestingly, the film was released in 2015 and was based on the infamous murder case of
Bhanwari Devi in which two Congress MLAs of former
Ashok Gehlot government were accused and jailed.
According to police, complainant Bhagwati Prasad in his complaint said Bokadia used assembly building as the backdrop in the film's promotional posters.
“He has alleged that no permission was taken by him in this regard. We will look into the matter to find out if any such permission was taken or not. The film was released in 2015 and is out of cinemas already,“ said a senior police officer of Jyoti Nagar police station on Thursday.
The complainant further stated that the accused neither took the permission of the state government nor of officials of the assembly. “We will see the documents and find out things which will ascertain the claims made by the documents. If needed an explanation in this regard would be taken from the director-producer,“ said an officer.
