A businessman from New Delhi was arrested by the Rajasthan police in Bhilwara district for opium smuggling. The businessman had resorted to drug smuggling after incurring a debt of Rs 50 lakh due to regulatory troubles in his garment export business. During interrogation, it was discovered that the main kingpin of the drug smuggling racket is a moneylender based in New Delhi who forces those in debt to transport drugs. The police have also found that smugglers use minors as decoys to avoid suspicion.
