Class 12 girl kidnapped, gang-raped inside moving car in Bikaner; 1 accused nabbed from Gujarat
JAIPUR: Rajasthan Police Monday detained one person in Gujarat for the alleged abduction and gang-rape of an 18-year-old girl in a moving car in Bikaner district on Jan 6.
The accused is being brought to Bikaner for questioning, while police remain on the lookout for a second accused and the vehicle linked to the crime.
The FIR, based on the police complaint lodged by the family, states that the girl was on her way to school when the crime occurred.
The two accused, one of whom was known to the girl, deceived her into getting into a car by promising to drop her off at school. "Since one of the youths was an acquaintance, she trusted him," said a senior officer at Napasar police station in Bikaner.
Family reported the matter after five days
After committing the crime, the men dropped the girl off near her house, from where she managed to reach home. The family, however, reported the matter to police five days later, Sunday.
Subsequently, an FIR was registered, initiating police investigation into charges of kidnapping and gang-rape under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Bikaner Superintendent of Police Kavendra Sagar said,
"The detained accused will be thoroughly questioned, and legal action will be taken based on the evidence collected."
The girl has since been sent for a medical examination.

This is a totally normal kidnapping and r8pe in North India . Such things are daily occurrences in UP, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan , Bihar , Haryana. It is not worthy of media attention, protests and Prime time debates . If people start protesting r8pes in UP, MP or Rajasthan , they will always have to be on the streets . So please only focus on West Bengal and TN.Read allPost comment
