BSF jawans doused the fire at two places in
Barmer
on Friday. In the first incident, around 10 huts were gutted and 19 cattle were killed.
The first incident took place at Malana village in which a fire broke out due to a short circuit. BSF jawans reached with water tankers and fire extinguishers. Due to strong winds, the fire spread to 10 huts and all turned to ashes while 18-19 cattle died. On getting information the SDM, tehsildar, pradhan and development officer reached the spot.
On Thursday afternoon, a fire broke out at the house of Arbab khan and it spread to 8 houses in Malana village. The BSF jawans and the bop Malana post commander reached the spot with fire extinguishing equipment and tried to control the fire. The jawans, with the help of water tankers, tried to douse the fire.
