Jaipur: Balendu Singh of Bikaner won the silver medal in the 68th National Shooting Championship Competitions (NSCC), conducted by the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI), at the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Ranges in New Delhi.
Rajveer Singh Shekhon of Punjab claimed the gold, while Nadeem Hussain of Uttar Pradesh bagged the bronze.
Para trap was featured for the first time in the ongoing Shooting Nationals.
Balendu Singh began shooting in Bikaner under the guidance of his father, Thakur Kalu Singh. He later received mentorship and support from Dr Karni Singh. He continues to compete in clay pigeon events and represents India as a para trap shooter at World Shooting Para Sports competitions. He has won several medals in the past and brought glory to the region.
