JAIPUR: The state Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has served a fresh notice to Union Jal Shakti minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat for voice samples in the 2020 legislators’ horse-trading case during the political crisis after revolt by Congress leader Sachin Pilot and 18 MLAs. The additional district and sessions court issued the notice to the minister after the investigating officer requested for same in a revision petition pending before it. The court had earlier turned down the request of the ACB and ACB had filed a revision petition challenging the decision. The case has again come up for hearing in the second week of July. ACB had arrested a middleman Sanjay Jain in connection with the horse-trading case on a complaint by Congress leader Mahesh Joshi on June 10, 2020 and Jain reportedly confessed that person identified as Gajendra Singh in an audio is union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. But, the minister had refused to give voice samples.
